Festivals and Platforms.An overview of the most important European dance festivals and platforms, to know interesting places where a choreographer or a company can present their performances. The meeting, thanks to a power point presentation, will focus participant’s attention on a variety of festivals describing their main features and atmospheres and on a good number of International Dance Platforms, explaining why it is important to take part and how to do is in a useful way.
How can I present my work to a festival director?The second step is about how a choreographer, an artist or a company manager can present himself in a one to one context or in an organized section. The participant will experiment 2 different ways of approach: the speed date section, with one to one discussion, and the group presentation, with a focus on a specific show.
A good dossier can save your life!How it is possible to realize a good presentation dossier? After the observation of different models collected in many International festivals and from many companies, the participant will experiment how to realize their personal dossier or how to implement the existing one.

Meeting of artists, institutions, KoresponDance‘s partners and participants of the European project Roundabout Europe. After last year’s speed meeting, we’ve conceived this year’s format as a slow meeting, where the medium of choreographic discussion opens a space in which to exchange experiences of the international dance scene and support dialogue between artists and institutions.

As an intangible practice, does dance have the capacity to reflect the current endangered state of the environment and face up to serious problems? Join us for a discussion around questions of the kinds of ecologies and economies of movement we should choose to bring our political actions into harmony with the environment they impact.

The seminar will also include a short demonstration of workshop materials.

Sokolovna is less than ten minutes’ walk from the Estate, has a bathroom (toilets and showers) and a kettle. You have to take your own sleeping mat and bag.
Price of seminar: 80 € (the price doesn’t include food costs)
