This theoretical and practical seminar will familiarise participants with a variety of European dance festivals and platforms and offer assistance with a range of skills such as preparing a quality presentation of a performance, working with social networks and presenting your work to directors of festivals and institutions in different contexts.

Seminar topics
/ Festivals and Platforms. An overview of the most important European dance festivals and platforms. To know interesting places where a choreographer or a company can present their performances.
/ How can I present my work to a festival director? The second step is about how a choreographer, an artist or a company manager can present himself in a one to one context or in an organized section. The participant will experiment 2 different ways of approach: the speed date section, with one to one discussion, and the group presentation, with a focus on a specific show.
/ How it is possible to realize a good presentation
A good dossier can save your live!

The workshop will also include afternoon round table discussions and a practical workshop. The timetable will be specified.

/ Free accommodation in “Sokolovna” from 16th till 20th of July 2020 (other accommodation needs to be arranged at your own expense)
“Sokolovna” is situated ten minutes walk from the Castle. There is a shared bathroom and toilets and an electric kettle. You need to bring your own sleeping pad and sleeping bag.
