Stanislav Zábrodský
Stanislav Zábrodský (b. 1996) is a sculptor and intermedia artist living and working in Prague. He studied in the Intermedia studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and in the sculpture studio at ISI Yogyakarta in Indonesia. In his current practice he works with composite materials as synthetic simulations of geological processes spanning great stretches of time. He uses the metaphor not only to think through the geological past but also to suggest a geological future: the fossils here are not natural, non-human relics but traces of human activity in the newly defined Anthropocene. Since 2023 his work has been shown in Czech galleries including Studio PRÁM, Berlínskej Model and Polansky Gallery, and internationally at ACUD Gallery in Berlin, IRL Gallery in New York and Spazio Volta in Bergamo.
