About the Project
The outputs of the creative process will be presented in Autumn (November or December) 2023. Dance in the Gallery is an interdisciplinary project that combines movement and visual arts in the site-specific situation of an art museum, National Gallery Prague. The 2023 edition will feature its new permanent exhibition 1939–2021: The End of the Black-and-White Era, at the Trade Fair Palace.
Your work
- Visual-movement performances (November or December 2023) as a result of a creative and research process.
- Collaboration with other performers on artistic conception and creation.
- Discussions with curators of the National Gallery Prague or other experts.
- Research exploring the connections between choreographic and curatorial approaches, movement and visual arts and the theme of the new NGP exhibition.
- Intensive residency at the Trade Fair Palace (November or December 2023).
Whom we call, what we offer
- We give preference to artists based in Prague due to the procedural nature of the project.
- Artist fees in professional working conditions.
How to apply, results
- The deadline for applications is 17 July 2023 (updated).
- The audition will be held on a (to be specified) day in the week 22–25 August 2023 in Prague..
