The Round Table: Choreographing now invites international guests - choreographers, dancers, artists, and theoreticians to two lectures about reflecting of the conditions of contemporary choreography on the domestic and international scene. The lectures will be combined with lead discussions in interaction with invited dance and art professionals and the general public.
The Round Table will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2019 in the Korzo of National Gallery Prague and will continue with the presentation of Work in Progress from the Coaching Residencies for Choreographers on the expozitions of the National Gallery Prague on Wednesday 28 August 2019. Schedule follows.
Kathy Casey: What does mean to be helpful?
Canadien dancer, choreographer, dramaturge and artistic director of Montreal Danse Kathy Casey will present her lecture What does it mean to be helpful? She will speak about dramaturgy roles in creation, by introducing and developing different ways of defining what it is to be useful in creative process.

She is a dancer, teacher and producer. After her studies at the French Conservatory of Dance, she graduated from the Paris Sorbonne University. She danced in various companies and toured around Europe and Japan. From the onset she combined her dance career with that of a teacher.
